Ridiculously high standards? Just what are Katara’s ridiculously high standards? She had hoped that the man Aunt Wu predicted she would have a great romance was handsome and tall. I can’t think of a single girl that I know who hasn’t wished for her dream guy to fit that description nor what Katara wants beyond that—a guy with a good heart. Those “standards” aren’t hardly atypical or off the wall and really when you get right down to it, she overlooked the first two when it came to Aang. He was neither tall nor handsome when Kataang was canonized. Ridiculously high standards. Oh please!

Oh whoops i read that wrong, i dont think Kataangers care too much about Katara especially to pull this card out.
Its so subjective i almost don’t want to answer it but if i do remember correctly Katara’s standards were tall,handsome, powerful bender
Based on what i saw and my interpretation of Katara i would add
Empathic, Trustworthy, nonjudgemental, and tough skinned.
High standards are what defines Zutara, kataang might not be the lowest but it sure isn’t high. Considering Aang never gave a damn about what Katara wanted or needed he just cared about her image and his image. Give me a time where Aang was focused on really empathizing, understanding, and comforting Katara, hell i don’t think i could find one just for arguments sake
